We run a range of after school sports sessions for all ages. Our sessions are run in partnership with Sport Cardiff and all coaches are fully qualified and DBS checked.
We offer outdoor exercise classes for mums and babies. The aim of the sessions are to have fun, get fit and enjoy time with the baby. Suitable for everyone! You do not need a buggy to join us. All are welcome!! Fit Mums classes aim to encourage and support mums with a safe and effective fitness training programme after pregnancy.
Music bus is a Music and Movement Class for babies to preschoolers. Our hour long sessions include a 30 minute Music session followed by social time with toys out for the children and refreshments out for everyone. This makes a very popular combination of quality time for you and your child, and a bit of 'you' time where you can relax with a cuppa and talk to other parents/grandparents/carers. The songs we use are traditional/well known songs and are introduced through the use of loveable puppets, colourful props and our 'A frame Music Board'.
An early introduction to music brings huge benefits to your child’s development. Singing songs from an early age helps develop speech and language, memory and numeracy whilst playing simple instruments improves hand eye coordination, movement and fine motor skills. Doing this in a group or class environment is brilliant for your child’s social skills and confidence.

I am a primary school teacher in North Cardiff and a mum of two young children. At university, I studied music, and have a passion for enthusing children with an understanding and love of music. My aim with Music Bus is to offer an engaging, stimulating, music and movement session for adults and children to share, as well as a friendly and sociable environment where both adults and children leave having taken something positive from their hour session. I engage directly with the children, knowing each of their names and helping them to grow in confidence and learn new skills during our relaxed sessions.
A small, friendly, relaxing, traditional Rishiculture Ashtanga yoga class. Classes are suitable for all with a theme of Spandha-nishpandha (recognising tension and releasing into non-tension) – starting in a sitting position we bring the mind to the breath (Pranayama) - to focus the mind. We then systematically warm up the body (Jattis) before practising postures/movements (Hathenas, Asanas and Kriyas), before ending with concentration on the breath (Pranayama) once more, to ensure the body and mind are calm before relaxation. No prior experience / fitness level is required. Please some water to drink and a blanket for relaxation.

Christine has been studying yoga for nearly 30 years. Although her learning continues, her formal training began with a 12 month Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Certificate (part time and by correspondence) included extensive practice in Hatha Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Yamas and Niyamas, Scriptures, Mantra Chanting, Bhajans, Anatomy and Physiology, Modifications and Corrections. It included over 200 hours of contact teaching hours and over 600 hours of both self-practice and written work – integrating Yoga into her life and undergoing intensive self-study practice of Swadhyaya, in order to set a good example and to teach Yoga to the correct manner Christine attempts to live in accordance to the dictates of the Yamas and Niyamas. Christine also completed the fifteen day Residential Yoga Sadhana Training at Ananda Ashram (ICYER) Pondicherry. Daily schedule was 5.00am – wake up; 5.30am – Aarthi; 5.45am to 8.00am – Hatha Yoga; 9.00am to 10.00am Karma Yoga; 11.00am to 1.00pm – Jnana Yoga and Raja Yoga Kriyas; 4.30pm – Mantra and Yoga Sutras; 7.00pm – Bhajans; 7.30pm to 9.00pm – Satsangha. Many field trips and cultural expeditions were undertaken to Mahabalipuram, Chidambaram, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Cuddalore, Yoganjali Natyalayam City Centre, Pondicherry and SADAY (School for Mentally Challenged Children) and Sri Kambliswamy Madam for a wide experience of the Indian spiritual, cultural and Yogic tradition in which Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga (Gitananda Yoga) is rooted. Exposure to Bhajans, Mantras, an intense study of the Yoga Sutras, Carnatic Music and Hindu rites and rituals, along with Asanas, Kriyas, Mudras, Pranayama, Raja Yoga and Jnana Yoga practices were also imbibed. The total course hours were 135 hours of which 70 hours were practical instruction and 65 hours were theory.
It's a total body workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. It takes the 'work' out of workout by Zumba by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Zumba is often referred to as the ultimate exercise in disguise, it's so much more than a workout; burn calories, lose weight all whilst having fun!.
Lisa is also a qualified STRONG by Zumba Instructor and a certified Zumba Kids Instructor. Lisa is also a registered member of the Zumba Instructors Network (ZIN).

Growing up I have always lead an active lifestyle through playing netball at club, county and international level, taking to the court for Team Wales Netball Team at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Therefore a career in the sport, health and fitness industry was the direction I wanted to go, so after completing a Sports Degree, Sports Masters, Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 3 Pilates Instructor qualifications I have done exactly that. I look forward to welcoming you to my classes!
Strength & Balance class designed to reduce the risk of falling. All abilities and ages welcome.
After years of training a wide range of different abilities and groups, a mutual passion was discovered when they both gained experience in helping older people increase their physical abilities. Using principles from OTAGO training, along with their extensive health and fitness knowledge, they designed a session to improve strength & balance for individuals that need it the most. The classes draw on a variety of techniques, including mobility exercises, resistance bands and hand/ leg weights. Tom and Gareth adapt all exercises to suit individual’s needs, to ensure that participants feel the full benefits of the classes.
A typical hour session consists of General warm up, jogging, press ups, squat thrusts, stomach core excercises, ball games and mini circuit training. Spaces are limited to around 12 in total.
We believe in Karate for all, no matter of the student’s background, level of fitness, sex, or age. We can teach any age from 4 yrs old. We encourage our students to train as much as possible with a selection of local venues, days and times to try to suit everyone, for training either after school or after work.
The class is for elderly people who have walking difficulties, unsteady on their feet or who have never exercised and just want to tone up. It’s all about falls prevention and trying to keep old people away from hospitals after falling. It is supported by the Cardiff and Vale Public Health Team. The class is nearly an hour long and a serious chair based exercise session. Clients are either sitting on a chair on standing next to one. After that they do balance movements around the room, followed by optional tea, coffee and cakes in the café!
